Agriculture Comes Alive

Learn, Connect, Understand

Teachers are you interested in providing your students with an opportunity to:

  • Meet a farmer?
  • Develop an understanding of where their food comes from?

Agriculture in the Classroom, in partnership with

is offering a cross curricular Elementary Classroom Program with links to ELA, Health and Science in celebration of the inaugural

 

Have your students:

  learn about agriculture,

  connect with a farmer or agriculture industry  person,

  understand the role agriculture plays in their lives.

Ag and the City, AIC, Agriculture in the Classroom, AITC, Agriculture Education, Teacher Education, Agriculture Education, Ag and the City, Ag in the City, Agriculture and the City, Agriculture in the City

 

 

The Canadian Agriculture Literacy Program requires 50 - 60 minutes of class time during the week of Feb. 26 - March 3, 2012.

Your class will:

  • Receive a visit from a local farmer or Agriculture industry person
  • Have a book read and donated to your classroom
  • Receive classroom activity plans and materials
