Programs and Events Seeds that Feed

Have your students experience the world of agriculture by growing their own food right in your classroom!

The Seeds that Feed Kit is connected to Elementary learning outcomes in ELA, Math, Health, Phys-Ed and Science.

The kit is FREE and comes with everything you need including a package of resources for the teacher to use to engage the students.

During the project AITC will arrange for a producer or industry person to visit your classroom.

The Seeds that Feed Kit

Contents:

1 container
1 growing bag
soil
seeds
1 clip on light
timer
fertilizer
teacher resource materials

What you need:

location in your school (preferably your classroom) for a 1 foot square container
location is best in front of a window, preferably south facing
a chair or stand beside the container to clamp the light to
ability to run the light on a timer for at least 16 hours/day
