Agriculture in the Classroom

Journey 2050

Experience agriculture like it’s never been taught before

Journey 2050 allows students in grades 7-12 to experience agriculture like it’s never been taught before. As students explore world food sustainability, they are encouraged to think critically about the ripple effect on social, economic and environmental factors locally and globally.

Agricultural experts and real farm families from Kenya, India and Canada guide students through a virtual farm simulation, career avatar game and geography scavenger hunt.

By registering, a guest speaker from AITC-M will come into your classroom, provide all supplies needed, and deliver the FREE, Manitoba curriculum-linked Journey 2050 Program!

The strongest curriculum connections are:
Grade 7- social studies, science, food and nutrition
Grade 8- science, food and nutrition
Grade 10- geography, science
Grade 12- global issues

However, all grades are welcome and encouraged to participate in this vital topic.
